Here is an updated list I plan to pilot soon.  I will be getting a box of Thunderwolf Cavalry in a few weeks and have to include it in my list.  I have never used a Lone wolf and would like to give one a try.  I think this list can be effective against well balanced lists.  My plan is to Put Ulrik next to the Long Fangs to give them Preferred Enemy.  This will help with flyers giving all those re-rolls.  That is my only real anti-air plan until I get a Stormwolf or two.  I think I can deploy the Long Fangs on any back field objectives, if there are two, one of the Grey Hunters can cover the other.  That leaves 2 packs of Grey Hunters in Rhinos to grab other objectives or a relic.  The Thunderwolves can move to where they are needed.

In order to pump this up to 1850, here would be my additions:

Rhino
Razorback

  • Twin-linked Lascannon
Lone Wolf
  • 2 Fenrisian Wolves
  • Combi-plasma
  • Stormshield
  • Terminator Armour
  • Melta Bombs
Total points: 1847

This buys me a Rhino for my third Grey Hunter Pack, and a transport for a Long Fang Pack.  They probably won't be moving, but it gets me the extra lascannon (re-roll on the pen chart if he's next to Ulrik?).

I would love to add at Stormwolf, but don't have the model yet.  This could change at any time, but am only building lists I can actually field now.

Tell me what you think in the comments.
